Great feedback for Programmed Care

With the introduction of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, it’s been a busy couple of months of audits for Programmed Care.

Originally set up as a state based scheme, Programmed were required to apply separately to each of the state based governing bodies for certification. A national scheme has since been introduced and each of the states are progressively rolling over to the new certification. In order for us to gain accreditation, we have had to undergo an independent audit against the new set of national standards.

Stage two of the audit process has now been completed and our final application has been submitted to the Commission, recommending us for certification.

A crucial part of the audit process is to confidentially interview a random selection of our direct care clients. It was very pleasing to see that 100% of these clients provided really positive feedback about us and the services we provide them with, and all clients interviewed would recommend Programmed to friends or family.

In particular, a client with a degenerative condition feels he’s “made the right choice with Programmed. I am confident I will be supported throughout each stage of my condition. I am comforted by the fact that all services are offered in the one place”, from domestic support right through to complex nursing. “I was given enough information about Programmed, their services and the NDIS in order to make an informed decision”.

Another client on a self-managed plan says “invoicing [is] clear and easy to understand and care has been taken to provide it in large font.” Other clients “feel respected and can even have a say in who is rostered to provide their support”. We have also been commended on providing “good communication for everything to run smoothly”.

A big thank you to everyone who has supported the external audit program. Your time and dedication to prepare us in the lead up to each audit has resulted in a very successful outcome. In particular, Cheryl Nair, Daniel Turbill, Lucy Mhindurwa, Mia Stock, Jodie Taylor and Madison Sloan should be acknowledged for their huge contribution. A real team effort, well done to all involved!
