Murdoch University recently hosted a visit from the Duke of York, Prince Andrew, who was visiting Universities around Australia under his foundation of Pitch@Palace.
The Duke of York, founded Pitch@Palace in 2014, recognising the profound role that Entrepreneurship is playing and continues to play in the future of our Global economy. Pitch@Palace provides a platform for Entrepreneurs creating introductions to Mentors and Advisors, access to Distribution Systems and Supply Chains and Connections and Investment.
With the Programmed Grounds Division providing the Grounds Maintenance services to Murdoch since 2006 our team was on high alert to have the site in absolute premium condition for the Prince’s visit.
Prince Andrew walked through Murdoch spending some time in one area known as Bush Court which is a natural setting of Australian flora and attracts birdlife including the Carnaby’s black cockatoos. This space provides an opportunity for students, staff and visitors to take time and appreciate our Australian landscape.
It was great excitement and pride for our seven-member Grounds Team at Murdoch to show the site in all its glory and the positive feedback from the Event Manager was well received by the Team. Congratulations to all involved.
