Programmed Care exceeds industry standards

Programmed Care have recently passed their Australian Community Industry Standard (ACIS) audit with flying colours.

The results were very pleasing for the direct care team with nil non-conformances identified. Such a result exceeded the expectations of auditors, who commented on our many strengths, including an above industry standard approach to safety.

ACIS Certification is required to enable Programmed to continue to provide much needed care to participants of various insurance and government funded schemes, such as iCare in NSW and the Victorian Transport Accident Commission (TAC). These audits occur annually and there is no postponing them, not even for a pandemic.

One of the areas we excelled in was our approach to client engagement. We work closely with our clients and their families to determine how best to meet their needs, whilst also meeting the requirements of their care plan. This was evident in the ways we have adapted our service model to suit the circumstances of our clients. For example, by introducing telehealth, we were able to provide an alternative option of support to our most vulnerable clients in COVID-19 affected areas.

Auditors also highlighted that our systems and procedures are robust, with client files clear and well organised. Our Quality Management System (QMS) is clear, well documented and easy for staff to follow.

They were happy to see that we have appropriate policies and procedures in place for clients that require complex care.
