PSW wins at local Business Chamber awards night

Our Programmed Skilled Workforce (PSW) Singleton branch took home two awards at the Singleton Business Chamber Awards held in June.

The Singleton Business Chamber represents the interest of local businesses. Established more than 30 years ago, the awards recognise excellence in business leadership, entrepreneurship, innovation, sustainability, business growth and employment practices in the Singleton local government area.

The team collecting the award

PSW, PTS and PIM jointly sponsored the awards night. Customer Relationship Manager Lee Cousin said that this sponsorship was important as the event ‘helps bring local business together to support the community’.

Of the 14 award categories, the team entered, and were finalists for, five awards including two individual entries; one for our apprentice Bradley Kirkwood into ‘Employee of the Year’ and the other for Klaudia Currie into ‘Customer Service with a Smile’.

We took home two prizes, ‘Excellence in Innovation’ and ‘Excellence in Workplace Health and Safety’. Lee was proud to accept the awards on Programmed’s behalf.

‘This award means a lot to the Programmed family as we have been operating with the local community for over 14 years. It is great recognition of the great team effort by our staff, and also our on-site employees, in delivering our core value of safety and our outstanding business performance.”
